  1. My son was born too with what they called a 'natural circumsision' but they didnt tell me to do anything specific with it, plus I told them that I plan on getting him circum. anyway, but we cant do it until 6 mo's since he has to be put under for it.

  2. Babies arn't born circumsized. It is a procedure you have done. and it sounds like it was done in your case. after it heels from the circumsision you need to break up some of the scare tissue so he won't have problems in the future.  Do as the doctor said and just pull the f******n back over the head of his p***s. It may be a little unconfortable now but way better than have an issue with scare tissue later

  3. A baby boy can be born without a f******n it dosen't happen often it's an abnormality, called aposthia, occurs very rarely. When it does, hospital records must report it as a birth defect.

  4. you cant be born circumcised, circimcision is a surgical proceedure during wich a male's f******n is cut away from his p***s. Your baby may have been born without a f******n but I am presuming that is extremely rare. rule no 1 - NEVER EVER EVER pull back your baby's f******n to 'clean', it is not necessary AT ALL! while the child is still young the f******n is naturaly adhered to the head of the p***s to keep it clean and free from infection and by pulling back the f******n you are creating an open wound and a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and infections. The f******n naturally comes away from the head of the p***s at puberty when the child himself discovers how to pull his own f******n back. This should never be done by anyone else. And second thing, a cirumcised p***s is UGLY! A natural, intact p***s is beautiful, as is nature.

  5. Well if you did not have anything done.  You doc probable assumes you did.  Just let it be.  There is no need to mess with nature.  My younger brother, now 16.  The doc said the same thing until my mother corrected him telling him he did NOT have it done.  The skin sometimes will grow after a boy is born.  Not common but it does happen.  Do not fret, just call his doc and explain it to him.  :)

  6. So your baby was born without a f******n?  Or very little f******n?

The f******n is supposed to be tight.  It's attached to the p***s the same way a fingernail is attached to the finger.  Pulling the f******n back WILL hurt him and can also cause infection.  Don't do anything to it at all.  Just wash the outside of his p***s.

Most doctors don't know about the proper care of the intact p***s.  Learn as much as you can so you'll be more informed than he is.  This site answers a lot of questions.

  7. Hi. You definitely sound confused to me.

Circumscision is an operation removing all or part of the f******n. No child is born "circumscised". It is the name of a procedure that is performed by doctors or maybe a Rabbi or something.

Your child has either had that procedure performed or has a naturally short f******n. That is not unusual. Guys can be born with long dangly foreskins... or short ones that do not conceal the glans entirely... or anything in between. Saying that he was "born circumscised" I suppose is just one way of saying that he has a very short f******n... it's not like he was operated on in the womb.

With any baby boy, it is unusual to be pulling away at his f******n for any reason. Just soak the little fella in a warm tub of water and let him kick until the water gets too cold. This will help prevent any infection. Babies are usually born with their f******n attached to their glans in any case.... it kind of loosens up later when they fiddle with it themselves, as toddlers tend to do.

When a boy gets a little older, he will tend to fiddle a little when you take his diaper off... and that's perfectly natural, as is an errant erection frmo time to time. If any f******n pulling or stretching is to be done, he will probably do it for himself soon enough... mum needn't get involved, really.

IF your child was circumscised by a doctor, then yes, the remnants of his f******n can re-attach to his glans forming what is known as a skin bridge (google it)... so then yes, mothers do have to get involved and clean the glans nightly to avoid the remnants of f******n healing onto the glans and causing trouble later.

  8. Most babies are not born circumsized. They do it when they are newborn. And yes it is a common practice. The longer you wait to do it the more it will hurt.

You can also NOT circumsize him, and he will be fine. My hubby is not circumsized and it does not bother me at all. The doc told him that as long as he kept himself clean he should be ok. Granted he MAY have prostate problems down the road, but that is a risk that all males have.

It is truely up to you if you want to circumsize him or not, but you DO need to make a decision as quickly as possible to prevent the baby from hurting more then necessary.

  9. at my sons 4m shots the dr told me the same thing..apparently the forskin starts to attach itself to the head above the rim. so he says during bath time to pull it back and get it detached..  well hes now 5m 3w and every night i still pull and i feel so bad cause i dont want to hurt him. i have detached some but not all . the last resort is a recircumsion and i would hate that .. so i know how you feel.. but it is very common.. call if your not comfortable and scared of hurting him.

  10. If you love him, do as they say, if but to maintain body health and hygene, you keeping him healthy and clean there, when he is too small to do it for himself.

Later, when he touches himself there, don't punish him for it; because, he is so little, it can't be seen as masturbation at all, just trying to see if he is all there,  more or less doing the same thing for himself.

If you really have hang ups about it, it can lead to worse hangups in future.

  11. First of all, my son had a circ when he was born, and yet, months later, we still had to pull back the skin a bit. I had a hard time with it too, and the pediatrician did it and my little baby just cried! Anyways, I guess that it is normal to have to pull it back a bit and keep putting vaseline on it for a while. ( Trust me, he is 2 now and just fine)

Also, I had a friend a few years ago who told me her son was born with a circumsion. It is possible,so don't let someone who has not heard of it discourage you.

  12. sorry what do you mean your baby was born circumcised?? that can only happen once baby is out ..please add more det so we can help you

  13. He wasn't born circumcised he was born with a normal attached f******n like all male INFANTS.  Comparing an infant p***s to an adult p***s is like comparing an infants b*****s to adult b*****s.  They aren't the same, nor are they meant to be.

This is a relatively normal infant p***s (with diaper rash) though some have even tighter foreskins:

In any case you NEVER retract the infant f******n.

    http://www.mothersagainstcirc.org/easy.h...

During infancy and early childhood, only the outside of the intact p***s needs to be rinsed with warm water. The f******n should not be retracted during cleaning. It's that simple.

There is much unnecessary anxiety over the issue of hygiene. It is not at all difficult to maintain proper hygiene. “...health professionals generally agree that uncircumcised boys do not have any special hygienic problems.” Concern for proper hygiene is over emphasized, and so the needless practice of routine circumcision continues.

Overzealous cleaning attempts can cause posthitis, urinary tract infections and phimosis. People are surprised to learn that the intact p***s requires no special care. The best advice is to simply leave it alone.

Consider providing your doctor with an Intact Care Agreement.

Usually starting around the age of 5 or 6, boys should be taught to retract their own foreskins once a week and rinsing with warm water. Sometimes the separation process takes longer and a boy may not be able to fully retract his f******n until he is 10 or more. This is normal and not cause for alarm. Once the f******n is retractable , the instructions for cleaning are simple.

1.) Gently pull the f******n back.

2.) Rinse with warm water only. Soap under the f******n can cause irritation and swelling.

3.) Pull the f******n back in place over the head of your p***s.

No one should do this for him. He can pull the f******n back by himself gently. After rinsing, he simply pulls the f******n back into place. (Cleaning inspections are not required.) We do not pull out our teeth to prevent cavities -- we brush them.

Does my son's f******n need special cleaning?

The uncircumcised p***s is easy to keep clean. When your son is an infant, bathe or sponge him frequently and wash all body parts, including the genitals. You do not need to do any special cleansing, such as with cotton swabs or antiseptics. Simply wash the head of the p***s and the inside fold of the f******n with [mild!] soap and warm water. [Or rather, just wash the outside of the p***s as a whole. The inner fold of the f******n will look after itself.] Remember, do not try to forcibly retract the f******n. You should watch your baby urinate to be sure that the hole in the f******n is large enough to allow a normal stream. [You probably won't have much choice!] Consult your pediatrician if:

    * the stream of urine is never heavier than a trickle

    * your baby seems to have some discomfort while urinating.

If the f******n becomes inflamed, a common cause is the fungus monilia, which can cause redness and itching. This can be easily treated with an antifungal cream. If the f******n becomes considerably red or swollen, see your pediatrician. If your son's f******n is fully retracted before puberty, an occasional retraction with cleansing beneath will do. [He can do it himself.] Once your son starts puberty, he should retract the f******n and clean beneath it on a daily basis. It should become a part of your son's total body hygiene, just like shampooing his hair and brushing his teeth. Teach your son to clean his f******n by:

    * gently pulling it back away from the glans

    * rinsing the glans and inside fold of the f******n with [mild] soap and warm water

    * [rinsing with water only]

    * pulling the f******n back over the head of the p***s.

Caring for your son's uncircumcised p***s requires no special action. Remember, f******n retraction will occur naturally and should never be forced. Once boys begin to bathe themselves, they will need to wash their p***s just as they do any other body part. [This excellent paragraph might have substituted for all the other worrisome advice before it.]

The self-cleaning functions of the intact p***s are analogous to the self-cleaning properties of the eyelid.

    http://www.notjustskin.org/en/circumcisi...

The intact p***s is a self-cleaning organ that produces smegma (a creamy substance also produced by females, containing dead cells and immunological substances) to combat infection

    http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.o...

The mucosal genitalia, like the mucosal eyes and mouth, are self-cleaning and self-defending, and it could not possibly be otherwise. Moreover, mid-19th century British and American boys (and girls) did not suddenly develop filthy genitals which needed aggressive hygiene after their ancestors, for hundreds of generations, survived nicely on benign neglect.

    http://www.babycenter.com.au/baby/dailyc...

Even when the f******n has separated and can be retracted safely, the best advice is simply to leave it alone. You may do more harm than good by interfering with its self-cleaning mechanism.

  14. It is possible for boys to be born either with a very short f******n, or no f******n at all. In your sons case, it sounds like he has one, but it is very short. (if he had no f******n there would be nothing to retract) in any case, you doctor is wrong- DO NOT retract his f******n.

In infants and young boys the f******n is naturally fused to the head of the p***s (like your finger nails are fused to your fingers). Forcefully retracting it is not only painful, but can lead to infections, permanent injuries and scarring. Many American doctors don't know this, they are only used to dealing in (surgically) circumcised boys. In intact boys (and your son is intact, even if his f******n is very short) the f******n does not retract. It will loosen and become retractable naturally as your son grows older. The average age for natural retraction is between 10 and 12 years old, until then you do nothing but wash the outside. Your son's p***s is normal.
