  1. Here is a website with pictures that can help you tell.

You won't be able to tell immediately, but after awhile you should get a pretty good idea. Good luck!

  2. if you want to be able to tell immediatly you will need to send in feather's to be "sexed". you can ask a vet where to get that done.

if you dont want to do that sorry your going to have to wait untill they are older. Many times I thought my boy was a girl and my girls boys untill a while while they finally grew up and I could tell. Male's cere is blue and a female's is buff/tan. But if you do have whire or pure yellow parakeets they might all be tan, but not always. Its just possible. I have 2 girls and 1 boy. The only way to tell my lutino parakeet (pure yellow with red eyes) was a girl is because my male feeds her and courts her and ignores the other female

  3. i have been told that you have to wait awhile til their cere begin to change color somewhat. just wait for a while. if it goes pinkish its a girl if its blueish its a boy. or at least that what i have been told.

  4. you won't be able to tell them a part until their cere changes color. the only way to know sooner is through DNA testing that the vet can do, but it's cheaper and less stressful if you just wait for the cere to change.
