  1. Some moms say yes -- but sometimes cereal in little babies who haven't developed the swallowing mechanisms for large particle can choke - it is also hard on the stomach of the child.

  2. Cereal isn't good for a baby's system that young. ALL they need until 4-6 months is breast milk or formula. It can disrupt her intestines. Please wait until she's a little older to give her cereal. Almost ALL babies wake up during the night to eat, especially at 2 1/2 months.

  3. Yes, it is WAY TO EARLY.  Why are you setting your daughter up for potential problems later in life??  Research has clearly shown that feeding solids too early can cause allergies, celiac diasease, type 1 diabetes and other problems.  And you should never put it in the bottle.

There is no reason a 2.5 month old baby needs cereal.

  4. Yes; it is too early. Please wait until around six months before introducing solid foods. If solid foods are introduced too early, this can lead to health problems such as constipation, choking, food allergies, diabetes, childhood obesity, etc. It is normal for a 2 1/2 month old to wake up in the middle of the night for a bottle. If she wakes up, give her a bottle without cereal. Good luck!

  5. You are not suppose to give cereal before 4 months. We called the dr and we started giving it to my daughter at 3 1/2 months to help her sleep. I would not start any earlier than 3 1/ 2 months

  6. Hopefully if you are feeding cereal, you are doing so from a spoon and not from a bottle.

  7. No and if you read research articles on this there is no proof that they sleep better with cereal. At this stage her stomach isn't ready for baby cereal.
