....My 9 month old has just started nursery and over the weekend has got a really runny nose so he may be coming down with a cold. if he has caught a cold is he allowed in nursery?

  2. Well, the first year of a child being put into daycare/nursery is a rough one.  They seem to catch everything under the sun but that helps build up their immune system for later in life.

    Most rules are that the child can not have a fever for at least 24 hours before returning to school.

With a cold he should be fine, its normally only if they have some sort of virus or infection, like conjunctivitis, that they prefer you not to bring kids in.  All nurserys are different however so it might be worth checking with them however chances are he caught the cold from another child there anyway!
