Baby gecko inactive? Problem?

My baby gecko just hatched not even 24 hours ago and he was active earlier and now he is laying in his little place over his heat pad. Is that okay? Plus, his eyes are half open. Is he oka? I dont want him to die.

Hatchlings will hide naturally and will also sleep a considerable amount of time. I rarely saw my hatchling the first few weeks, but soon enough she was coming out into the open and becoming less shy. Your gecko will definitely be very tired after the struggle to hatch out of it's shell and as a baby will sleep often and hide often anyway. Give your gecko time to adjust to it's new environment.
