My husband and I are expecting a baby girl soon! we're naming her Kendra Stefania. Stefania was my Bobchi's name is polish (bobchi is grandmother in polish). But i'm afraid that people will pronounce her name like: Steph-a-knee-a. is there any other way to spell it to make it noticeable? accents and things like that? or should i just keep correcting people?

  11. Well, if its a middle name its not like shes ever going to be using it, just for important documents and such. Don't worry about it. I wouldnt change the spelling of a middle name, that looks fine as it is.

  12. Kendra is a beautiful name

  13. i know a girl named stefania. and i think the spelling is self explainatory. she hates her name tho and goes by stefi.  my name is stephanie so i think its common sense to know how to pronounce it. and a middle name wont be used much anyway

  14. Honestly, that's how i pronounced it... but does it really matter when it's a middle name?  I feel like the spelling is just as important when you're honoring someone... what's the point of you change it all around.  besides that spelling has roots.   the only time i can think of that your kid may have to hear someone else pronounce their middle name is at graduation.  my advice?  keep it the way it is, and correct others (when it rarely happens).

  15. thats pretty i know how to say it...like roberts girlfriend on everybody loves raymond...very pretty!

  16. Just leave it. Middle names dont get said as often. It's mostly all about the first name anyways. At graduations the middle name will be pronouced, but they'll know how to say it ahead of time, so it wont be that big of a deal. Since it's your grandmothers name, I'd just leave the spelling how she had it and deal with having to correct peoples pronunciation since it wont be said that often by others.
