Baby girl due 12/16/08 - last name Smith - which first name do you like best?

Since we have such a common last name, we've decided to use an uncommon first name. That way life will be a little easier for our daughter when it comes to phonebooks and everything like that. We like fun girly names. Which do you like best and why?

Maeva Smith (Maevie?)

Calista Smith (Callie)

Magnolia Smith (Maggie)

  8. A google search of "Maeva Smith" gets 62 hits. "Calista Smith" gets 759 hits. "Magnolia Smith" gets 566 hits. "Ellen Smith" gets 192,000 hits lol! I can understand why you want your daughter to have a less common name, and I think you've got some really beautiful choices.

    You can't go wrong with Maeva. Ava is a very well-liked popular name and the two are very similar.

    Magnolia is sweet and girly. Too elaborate for my taste though. Maggie is darling. I think Magnolia would work well.

    My favorite is Calista. It flows best with Smith. Plus, Callie is a great nickname.

    Even though I love the name Maggie, I don't like Magnolia at all.

    Maeva is fine, but I don't like Maevie at all.

  11. I have a friend with the last name smith, and her name is Sierra Lynn, and Her sisters name is Kimberly, I think they are both beautiful names

  19. I really like those names... except I think I'd prefer Maeve instead of Maeva and Magdalena instead of Magnolia. I think Magdalena sounds really European and cute haha. I LOVE the name Calista - that one is my favorite! It sounds so chic.
