Baby girl name DECIDED!?

Question

we have decided on the name Emily Jane Enriquez for our daughter, we dont really care that she may be one od 3 or so emilys in the class, but at least she wont be teased for her name and it will always be spelled and pronounced correctly.

Emily Jane is fine and simple. My granddaughter is Emily Rose and we call her Emmy for short.

Yes and that is an ok name but plain. Not many kids are picked on for their names anymore. I know I am 14. The only reason a kids pick on a name is simply because they hate the kid.

Don't worry about being picked on because everyone is picked on or dislike by somebody there is no way to stop that. Sorry if that is not what you want to hear. But I still think Emily is a good name just boring.

I love the name Emily! And Jane, which is semi-old-fashioned, balances out the name perfectly. I really like it. Emily Jame Enriquez. It has a lovely ring to it!

i like the name! i agree with you hon that at least she wont be teased on some weird name or name that is hard to pronounce! some of the names today are just horrible! emily jane is a lovely name!! good luck to you when she arrives!!

That's a very cute name.  You have to go with what you like.  After my husband and I decided on Aiden for our son (which we thought was unique) we found out that it had been the #1 name last year.  We went with it anyway because we had fallen in love with it.  We just gave him 2 middle names to compensate ;)

I think Emily is a beautiful name.  I have a daughter named Emilee and trust me the spelling is always a nightmare.  So sticking with the basics is a plus in my opinion.

I like it!  I really don't care if a name is "common".  I think that just means it's a good name.  She will be grateful to you that she doesn't have to correct everyone on the pronunciation or spelling of her name when she's older.

i dont think emily is being over used like a lot of names these days.  I think she will be the only emily in her class :)
