Baby girl name problems

Question

Im having twin girls (due in 3 weeks) and up until now i was going to name them Nicola and Natasha. Nicola is being named after one of my really really good friends and Natasha, just because we like the name.

However my best friend passed away a year ago, her name was Jenni and so i was thinking of whether it would be a better idea to name them both after friends and have their names as Nicola and Jenni.

What do you think?

otherwise, do jeni and something else that starts with a j, like julia.

its really cute when twins have the same first letter.

you can use nicola as a middle name

or other way around- with jenni as a middle name

Maybe make Jenni a middle name? Natasha Jenni sounds really sweet. I would stick with Nicola and Natasha, they are really cute names that pair well together.

sorry i don't like the name choices. it's nice that you are trying to dedicate the name. but you should use it as a middle name or some thing not as a first. i have two friends named Anna and Molly. Maybe Molly Lee and Jenni Rae

Jenni Nicola  (your friends put together is cute)

Nitasha Jennae (Still has you friends in it).......instead of Natasha it would be (Nee) Nitasha. It has part of what you like and part of Nicola's name. And Jennae is part of Jenni's name. I hope this helps you out.

If it won't make you sad, then go for it!!!!! But, if for the rest of your life, all you'll do is think of your friend, don't do it. I love the names though!

Well, since their twins, I think that you should keep Nicola and Natasha.  Maybe you can use Jenni as  middle name.

I think it is unique to NOT have twins with "matching" type names.  As long as you and your husband like the name Jenni, then use it.  If it's not your favorite, then use it as the middle name.  My only hesitation is that Nicola sounds like and exotic european name and Jenni sounds very american.  Maybe give BOTH girls your friends names as middle names.

I think it would be nice to name her Jenni to honor your friend. But it's up to you whether or not you do this. I think it would be nice if she was a really good friend of yours. :)

HI...well I think Nicola and Natasha sound so well together, as soon as I heard them, I thought awesome names for twins, the other two just sounds like two individual names, nothing clever...I think if you are already naming one after a friend, you should at least pick the second as just a name you like, like you said

i personally dont like it when twins have names both starting with the same letter, they are twins they look alike and probably will be dressed alike so i think they should have different names and i think it would be nice have your children named after a friend who passed away
