We dont watch TV, so although I think that sesame street, and dora are all cute they arent really up our alley. she is the first girl in the family is 30 years, so something girly and cute would be fun (though im nto too big on the whole princess theme...a little bratty in my opinion) any ideas, or links?? thanks!

  1. Ooooooh, Ladybug party.  Red and black, how cute?  I know the last time I searched for that there was a ton of stuff on the internet.

  2. Why not just pick a color or 2 as the theme instead of characters. That way you could save money on the cups/plates/whatnot, and splurg on a nice center piece or door prizes. We've always done this and honestly our older boys (9 & 10) don't even really notice. When they where little they aren't going to remember anyway, so the decor is more for the guests than anything.

  3. what about a paris themed party

    or maybe a tea/garden party?

i really like the tea party idea, use nice plates and cups instead of paper, a lot of different teas, and mini sandwiches and cookies and stuff

    use your imagination(:

  4. My little girl just celebrated her first birthday with a balloon party - I only invited guests she's shown a liking to, and all of them brought balloons (which she happens to adore) and played with her. The truth is that she's unlikely to remember any of it, but she sure enjoyed the attention!

Oh, and one of the guests brought her a musical card that played the Chicken dance (aka tanets malen'kih utyat for the russkis out there) and she watched with saucer-sized eyes as, each time she opened the card, adults around her would do this odd funny dance.

  5. Barbie,

    My little Pony

    Hannah Montana

    Pink and Purple

    Happy 1st b-day!!

  6. What are the favorite books or nursery rhymes you share with her.  Have a party based on one of those.  Or perhaps a ballerina theme. Oh - Angelina Ballerina - my daughter loved those books when she was little.
