im 30 weeks pregnant and had ante natal check up the other day the doc informed me the baby was in a breach position. Im being induced at 38 weeks due to a previous stillbirth, and taught i had nothing to worry about as i taught 8 weeks was more than enough time for baby to turn around and drop but the doc start talking of c sections and all this other scary stuff?

on average what week should baby drop?? should i prepare myself for c-section?

  1. You still have loads of time for your baby to turn!! my 3rd baby was breech right up to 38weeks .. i even had an appointment for them to try and turn her, but luckily she did it herself!! i know exactly how you feel cause i felt exactly the same.. try not to worry too much, best of luck hun!!

  2. there is still time my baby was breech at 34 weeks and turned there are things you can do to help baby turn google it. as for the c-section i ended up having one for other reasons and its really not that badyou hear stories of women bed ridden for days but i was up and about and soon as the spinal block wore off and only had minimal pain it felt just uncomfortable getting in and out of bed.

  3. My baby was breach at 30 weeks she finally moved past 34 they still have enough room at this time to wiggle around.  The only reason he probably mentioned a C-section is because in some cases the babies don't want to move.  So its for your health and the health of the baby a routine C-section will be preformed.  They can also massage a few weeks before the baby out of breach by moving her with they're hands on your tummy.  I wouldn't worry about it right now give her time to do it on her own, on your next exam ask the doctor to see if she has moved she probably will again. My baby was face up head stuck on my pelvis.  Of course i went into preterm labour at 32 weeks so it helped move her.  I know your scared but give it some time it will work out.

  4. There is still time for the baby to turn but the doctor is opening you up to the idea of a C-Section just in case.  I would prepare for both.  That's what I did for all my pregnancies that way when the time came it wasn't such a big deal.

  5. It's entirely possible to give birth to a breech baby vaginally. I've got some great pictures in one of my pregnancy books. (I forget the title, it's by Michel Odent) You need to have a doctor that supports natural childbirth in order to make that happen. Your current doctor is not that doctor.

I'm also not sure why they're automatically inducing you because of one previous stillbirth.

A second opinion is definitely in order here if you wish to avoid a cesarean.

  6. If it is a breech birth, there's no reason why you need to go straight for a caesarian. A lot of doctors automatically go for a caesarian without considering a natural birth, when it's perfectly feasible.

My little sister was breech and there were no problems at all with her birth.
