  1. Get a box with some wet moss to help your leopard gecko shed his skin.

  2. you should just leave you shed box in his tank at all times (:

my leos love their moist hide, they spend most their time in it

  3. It's best to have a humid hide box in the tank at all times, but if you have it in there for awhile and the gecko doesn't seem to be using it a whole lot, you might safely assume that it's okay to remove it until the gecko begins to shed. However, you have to be careful when making that call in that shedding with too low of humidity can lead to lost/partially lost toes. Its up to you, but ideally you should keep it in at all times so the gecko can make his own choice.

  4. you should put a humidity box in because leopard Geckos love to be humid even if they aren't shedding

  5. It depends on personal preference. Leaving a moist hide box in at all times or even a patch of damp moss in the corner will provide ample humidity but just for convenience leaving the actual hide box in the tank and keeping it moist will help your baby shed when he needs too as well as keep the humidity of the tank at a good level.
