I have a Tomy baby monitor (can't remember exact model) but i remember when I bought it that it said it would not 'pick up' from other monitors! The baby next door (and we are not even joined houses!) is just a few months older than my lo and could here him and his parents! Anyone else had this, are they likely to pick up noise from our monitor too?!

  1. lol weird that would be aqward, chances are if you can here them sometimes they can hear you too, i would get a different monitor

  2. We live in an apartment, and occasionally I pick up the people's baby monitor that live below us. It happens randomly too, very weird! I have no idea if they can hear what's coming from my monitor, but my guess would say yea they can!

  3. We had a Tomy monitor that did the same so we switched the channels and then it was fine as we were obviously on the opposite channel to our neighbours!

  4. If it has frequency switch settings in the unlikely event of picking up others you may be able to select another frequency/channel by sliding a switch on both units to the same setting. If no such switch on yours return to the retailer and obtain an alternative type. If too long contact the manufacturers directly. It is likely they will pick up yours also if on the same frequency/channel as you.

  5. yes if you call tomy care line they will send out new cystals i think they call them that you can change in the back of the monitor so that you are on different band to your neighbour they go in where the batteries are

  6. hi

All baby monitors pick up other signals if they are in the right range. Even if the box says they wont. I have tired many and on all i heard neighbours. In the end i stop using them and have had no problems hearing my little one and he is in a loft convertion!
