  1. Fisher-Price Sounds & Lights Monitor. I have babysat MANY babies and this one is my favorite.. Because if you are watching a movie you can turn off the volume and it lights up. So that way you are not disturbing others.

  2. Hi. Someone gave us a basic monitor. It is Safety First brand. It was used through her 3 kids. I was hesitant because I just thought a brand new one worked better but the one we have now works just fine. Some people prefer the video ones.

  3. I have a Summer Infant one.

Why I use it? Because I liked the idea of being able to see and hear my daughter when she's sleeping.

It is the last monitor on the page: http://www.summerinfant.com/videomonitor...

  4. i also use the Fisher Price monitor with lights and sound, so far it's been very reliable. The 2 recievers are useful and the way they can be recharged from a power outlet is great (the charge also lasts a decent amount of time too). And like someone already mentioned the LEDs that light up when sound is detected is brilliant in case you are doing a noisy task or have the units volume down low.

  5. I use Angelcare monitor.  It beeps if it detects that the baby isnt moving or breathing.  I have taken my baby out and forgot to turn it off first, and it beeped like crazy.

For me it was piece of mind.  I used it with my 6yr old son when he was a baby too.

  6. i have the Fisher-Price Dual Sounds N Lights Monitor. you can get them at walmart of babies r us. i really like them because it comes a base that lights up and 2 recievers.

  7. I have the AngelCare monitor by BeBe Sounds.  It comes with a pad you put underneath the mattress that detects breathing, and if 15 seconds go by with no movement an alarm sounds.  Don't ask me how it works, because I have no idea.  It has never gone off except once when she scooted to the corner of the crib.  But it does work if she stops breathing, because if I take her out and forget to turn the monitor off, it starts beeping like crazy.  Definitely helped me to sleep better at night!

  8. Go to http://www.costco.ca

Then it is the Q See baby monitor the model that is $179.99

this is the one I have and it is amazing. You can see your baby anytime during the day, it has a motion sensor so you know when they are moving. I love it.

  9. I have a fisher price private connections one, we got it from my MIL who used her points to get them as a supermarket bonus promotion. Mine only has one receiver, but this link is what they are http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2...

I love them because it has ten channels so if we get interferance from neighborhood phones, tv, cell phones, etc, you can change the channel. The lights are nice as well, you can turn the sound almost all the way down but the lights get stronger when baby makes any noise, so I can turn it up and see what's going on. That's a nice feature when you're watching tv or you don't neccessairily want to listen to the crib soother music for the millionth time, or if you're like me, you can't sleep for hearing all the rustling going on. We've always lived in apartments so I can hear through the walls or open door if she cries, so I can doze with the lights right there and all I have to do is open my eyes to see if she's up. Lol. Good luck!
