Baby musk turtle:)?

Question

well, i just got a baby musk turtle the sweetest lil man ever his name is squirt (short for squirtel) well my i know that wen a new turtle is new to a home there scared and may not eat for up to a week wit out eatin ive tryed putin him in a lil island and putin diff food in there such as dry freeze blood worms, lettece,fish flakes(just to try) turtle pellets and i believe thats abt it.......well i was wondering if theres anything else i can do or do it just take time, he has everything he needs baskin light uvb and uva light i keep it at 80 f but any thoughts?

Little island? I hope you have squirt in a real tank, not one of those plastic bowls with the plastic palm tree. Forget the vegetables for now (and forget head lettuce forever). You may be able to get squirt interested in food with live food: worms, fishes (not goldfish), or soft-bodied insects.

Try a live worm,a small one....I bet he`ll go after that.
