Baby name dilemma.?

Question

Okay so here's the situation. My fiance's mother passed away almost 5 years ago, and to honor her, I would like to incorporate her name into our baby's name if we have a girl. It is tradition in my fiance's family to have 2 middle names. The first name for the girl will be Ava (it's been a favorite name of mine for a long time) and one of the middle names HAS to be Nancy. Any suggestions? the last name is Kilbourne.

& for my boy dilemma, his first name will be Benjamin(Ben) but one of his middle names has to be Donald. what do you think??

Do you want to keep Nancy exactly as it is, or are you open to altering it?  Nancy evolved as a nickname for Annis, which in turn was a form of Agnes in the Middle Ages.  Nancy wasn't bestowed independently until the 20th century.  Today, some say that Nancy was a nickname for Anne - that's not quite accurate historically, but I have an aunt Nancy named after her grandmother Anna.  We've thought of honoring both by using Annis.

I love that name Ava, i think it is really sweet. My grandmother's name is Nancy, so I know how hard to work with that name is...

btw, nancy is a diminutive of Anne, so you would still be honoring her if you used Ann, Anne or even Nan. I think Ava Marie Nan is kinda pretty
