  1. i have always liked unique names so some of these names might sound a little different. for a girl i like the names addison, zhenna, maren, dahlia, and harlow. for a boy i like brennen, zack, and colton

  2. Sit down with a baby name book and make a list of things you like.  Maybe you can name her Mary or Marie?  If it's a boy, use a name similar to his?  (ex. John and Jonathan)?  I don't like the junior thing either, in fact I think it's absolutely stupid and egotistical.  Remember, this is both of yours, not just his.  Remind him of that when he argues.  Tell him that if he doesn't learn to compromise, you'll have the baby on your own and fill in the paperwork without him there!

  3. Hopefully you can come to a happy compromise! He might agree to using a variation of her name (if you like it too): Marielle, Mariella, Marien, Elena, Lena, Marlena, Ariel(le), Ariella

If you really don't want to use the name, put your foot down.  After all, it is YOUR baby and you should have the first say in what her/his name is! His opinion matters too, but you're the one who has to carry the baby for 9 months and give birth!

  4. marielena is pretty...promise him tht u'll use this as a middle name if its a girl n you get to choose the first name..and if its a boy he gets 2 choose the name..and if he wants him 2 have his first name..u should choose the middle name unless he wants his middle name 2.

  5. It's just a matter of finding a name you both can live with. And whether he likes it or not, your boyfriend is going to like more than two names. It's human nature to be drawn to variety.

  6. ouch

I would really worry abuot having a long term relationship with a man or boy who is so pig headed.

I happen to love the name, but the two of you need to agree on.

Stop the arguing or you will be arguing with this guy the rest of your life

    How about Lena Marie

when you say under his name, i assume you mean his last name.

I would say you are right to use your name as the last name.

    Unless he marries you.

  7. I know what you mean. I wouldnt want to name my child that either and I also do not like naming the kid after the father. I have to agree with you that if he feels that strongly about the name, it will have to be a middle name. Tell him you want your child to have his/her own identity. Maybe you can find some research on the internet that proves that naming a child after someone has a bad effect on their self esteem or something. It is the internet, you can find anything that says anything you want it to say! Good luck convincing him!

  8. You could always use Marielena for the first name and call your daughter by her middle name (that you choose!).

  9. Hey!

Poor thing, he's really giving you a hard time!

Firstly, he can't get his way with everything!!!

If you don't like the name Marielena then REFUSE to name the child that way if its a girl!

REFUSE to name it after HIM!!! He sounds a bit immature. Maybe use his middle name for the child or something but this guy sounds really demanding!

    Shame man.

YOU have to go through alot for this child to be born so YOU name it!

    Kaya.

  10. Sounds like he is being very selfish!

Tell him when a baby comes out HIS v****a he can name the baby.

Tell him that you get a say too and it's not all about him.

  11. marielena is a very nice name

i dont know why you dont like

it but watever its yer opinion

just like tell him no i mean

your the ones thats gonna have to push

    the baby out not him

    -alejandra [=

  12. give it a hyphen surname. marielena is really pretty though....maybe you could change it up to mary or mari elaina...same concept, different spelling.

  13. First off, it's a REALLY BAD ideal to name someone a junior.  He'll have a lot of credit problems in the future.  I have a couple of friends who are juniors or the 3rd and they ALL have horrible credit reports because their fathers' information was on theirs'.  What will suck is if the dads have bad credit then their sons will have a hard time putting an offer on a house because the dad's info ALWAYS pop up on the kid's info.  Which is so wrong.

Also, you have to tell him no.  He must really miss his mom but it's not a way to bring her back.  So, it's best to find a new name that you can both agree on.  Besides, the baby is already getting his last name.  So it's only fair that you get to name the child whatever you want.

  14. If you have a daughter, have it his way if he completely refuses. But you can call her by her middle name. I've seen many people do that. And if it's a boy, put his name as a middle name instead.

  15. use it for a middle name its really not that bad. my sons middle name is after my husbands grandfather and i hated it, but its just the midle and it doesnt get used that often. you could shorten it and just use marie.its not worth fighting over.my kids were all named after someone and he pretty much picked all of them. once the baby is here the name you give just seems to fit. my husband named our daughter harley and i cried, i hated it, but now i couldnt even imagine calling her anything else.

  16. Lena Marie?

  17. talk to him about picking a completely new name that has nothing to do with you 2

  18. Well maybe IF he had the womb and IF he was having the baby would I give in to his suggestions. It's your child too. Make a stand.

  19. Marielena is pretty as a middle name. i do not like juniors. be creative. there are so many nice names. why is it always men who want a jr. and women don't seem to have that need. are they insecure or what?

  20. he has to learn to compromise!!!!!

    take him down a notch.

    Put your foot down.

    Say NO!

  21. Have you tried suggestions with him? My daughter has a mixture of my husbands mom who passed ,my grandma whos passed ,and our other grandmas names, along with my first name. Let me know what you decide and if you want some name suggestions. Good luck and Congrats

  22. You are the one having the baby. Its you must come to a joint decision, don't let him think that he can have all authority over you and your baby.

  23. What is his mothers Middle name??? Maybe you can use that
