  2. Why don't you try some ancient Greek names, which I am sure are rare in your country? My daughters are called Electra and Niovi, and some more are Cassandra, Jocasta... I guess you can find them in a site with their pronunciation.

  3. My personal favorites are Zillian (zill-e-an) and Laina (Lay-na)

  4. My name is very rare too, Shermane. its pronounce differently from, Chairmaine.

    By the way, interesting question.

    Aoife = pronounced [EE-fa]

    Means "beauty" from the Gaelic word aoibh. In Irish legend Aoife was a warrior princess. In war against her sister Scathach, she was defeated in single combat by the hero Cuchulainn. Eventually she was reconciled with her sister and became the lover of Cuchulainn. This name is sometimes used as a Gaelic form of EVE or EVA.

    Aoibheann = pronounced [EE-van]

    Means "beautiful sheen" in Irish Gaelic. This was the name of the mother of Saint Enda. It was also borne by Irish royalty.

    I like the names, theyre unique!

  5. How is Siobhan pronounced Shavon???

  6. Aoife-Eefah (it's my name)

    Aoibheann - eevin (it's my sister's name and we call her eevan. I've known others who pronounced their name like this too, but I'm pretty sure the correct way is eevin)
