Baby names... question for all the moms with multiples: twins, triplets, etc?

Do multiples run in your family?

If not, was this just a stroke of luck or somehow planned?

I have identical twins...Identical twinning doesn't "run in families" it is always a woman's body going haywire a fluke (there is a 1 in 250 change of identicals)

Natural fraternal twins (1 in 60 chance) may run on the woman's maternal side. There may be a slightly higher chance of hyper-ovulating (it's changes to about a 1 in 50 chance with genetics involved).

Higher level multiples are usually caused by fertility treatments and chances of twins increase to a 1 in 25 chance with drug intervention.

Yes they run in my family and my bf's.  He's an identical twin, I'm a fraternal twin.  My neice and nephew are twins and so are my great aunt and uncle.

I really want twins when I have children

My aunt has 3 month old twins and they're gorgeous - hard work but so worth it, she even said herself after having been really scared about it before that now she had twins she couldn't see the point of not! haha why have one when you can have two?!

I wish there was a way to plan to have twins.

If anyone knows one, let me know. haha - nothing too graphic...

Yes, my grandmother was a fraternal twin and I have fraternal twin daughters.

I also feel it was a stroke of luck.  :-D

Twins sort of run in my family, but there hasn't been any for two generations.

So, I'm guessing it's about time.

I hope I never get stuck with twins though. I mean, I'd love them and all if I did, but one baby at a time is enough for me.

Well, Twins have run in the family but I contribute my twins to 100 mgs of clomid!

Twins run in my family and I'm pretty sure twins run in my fiancee's family as well. Let's hope we get struck w/ that luck and end up having twins, triplets, etc. :)) *fingers crossed*
