Question

Hubby's choice: Tucker

My choice: Isaac or Clark

I like the name Tucker, but I know a lot of pets named Tucker- cats, dogs, etc...so it's tarnishing the name a bit for me. Also, I think of nicknames- guess what the first thing I thought of was when I heard the name! (I think I may be a bit sick-minded.) Anyway, it IS cute...do you think it would be as nice for a 30 year old man as it would be for a toddler?

Which of those names would you say is the LEAST common? (Uncommon is good because our last name is Wright and there are SO MANY Wrights around- my name's Elizabeth and there are lots of us in this city- makes even getting a library card confusing.

He likes my names and I like his, so we'll compromise one way or the other and be happy about it, but nothing wrong with having personal favourites!

I don't really like Tucker but I don't like Clark either.

I do like Isaac though, so I am on the mothers side!

Clark is a little old man sounding. I like Isaac the best out of the three of them. You're right. Tucker reminds me of my neighbour's black lab and do kids still sing the name game? Tucker Tucker bo bucker banana fana fo...

I don't like Tucker at all - it sounds like the name for a toddler, or a puppy. I don't think it fits a grown man.

I like Clark best it is ranked #648 on the SSA most popular baby names list for 2007.

Issac is #41 (fairly popular)

Tucker is #243

Clark! I would also use a very uncommon middle name/initial. Tucker has the rhyming issue, which I would avoid. Isaac is really cute, but it's too common for your last name. Have you thought about Lachlan, Declan, Corbin, or Ciaran? They're similar sounding to both of your choices, but a lot less common.

Clark is old and a bit boring for my taste, and Tucker is the second best but yeah, it sounds more like a pet's name

I would say that Tucker is the least common.

I like Tucker & Clark....not so fond of Isaac. (sry)

My youngest (of 4 boys) is Tucker Carson. He has never had problems with the name or being teased. It fits him well and It does not seem like a toddler name. His friends are actually jealous of his name, because his closest friends are : Josh, Mark, Justin, & Dylan. They have told him he has a cool name and their names are boring.

Just a personal preference but I really am not a fan of Tucker...I think of the same thing you do!  I really like Isaac......I think it is a super cute name and not overly used!  Good Luck!!!!!!!

My vote goes to Isaac. It is my favourite name at the moment.

It is classic and will age well.

Clark is ok, not a favourite of mine though but i have to say i really dislike Tucker, it sounds like a fat kids name.

I think Tucker is adorable except that it rhymes with the f word. I would not go with the name for that reason. Isaac sounds better with your last name and I think it is the less common of the two. You could use Clark for the middle name.

i like the name Tucker also, and i think it is fine for an adult. but, after you pointed out the nickname thing, i agree, he would be an easy target.  i think this is the least common, but none of the names are too common.

I love the name Isaac. not too crazy about Clark because of Clark Kent.

Why not Tucker Isaac Wright or Isaac Tucker Wright? I think those both sound very good.

I think Tucker is the least common of them. I've never meet anyone with that name. And I've never heard it on Y!A either.

I love the name Isaac. It's great. I agree, I can't imagine an adult named Tucker. And the letters "T" and "F" are very similar in both cursive and print for a little child. You're not sickminded, you have to consider thiose things!

Isaac is lovely. It's not common at all and it'll carry him through life. Congrats!

Clark makes me think Clark Kent and I'm not a Superman fan. (just saw your additional details, lol)

I like Isaac. Rarely does anyone have that name.  I think Tucker sounds like Trucker sounds like Hillbilly sounds like LOL.
