Hello,

My husband and I have a 3 and a 1/2 year old, and I am 8 weeks pregnant, we live in a studio apartment, and share a room with our son. Very small space. Not really enough room for a crib, changing table, etc... what do we really need? what could we use most with the little space?

  1. Crib is all really.  A changing table is pointless to me, you dont need a dresser, just hang everything up.  Maybe a swing or something and then the normal things like bottles, clothes and all that fun stuff.

  2. i agree with smwat03! also you can get this high chair to save space when your child starts eating

  3. a pack and play is a sleep area/changing table/playpen so if you dont have room i think this is your best bet. good luck

  4. for a crib, i got a pack and play crib with an attachable diaper changer i loved it, i got it a burlington coat factory in their baby section. if you dont have the store near you go to their website, google it. i also think you should get one of those dioaper hangers that you can hang on a door. you will probably need some sort of small dresser for clothes. bottle drying rack. maybe a nice swing if you have room...maybe you should look for a roomier place while your so early in your pregnancy because it will be harder to move once a newborn is actually there!

  5. The bassinet or small cradle are ideal items, since the baby needs to be near you for feeding etc, when first home.  Later you can deal with the other things.  Keep these near the bed, one or the other,  hope this helps, and hope you enjoy your little one.     gl and GB

  6. I never thought a changing table was necessary. I always changed the kids on the floor or bed.  I would start out with a bassinet, it takes up the least amount of room.  They are not in them for very long, though, so if you cannot find one from a friend then I wouldnt waste money on a new one.  I would suggest just a crib and a portable swing, that is all you really need.  I have 3 kids under the age of 4, and I always thought all that extra stuff was a waste.  Oh, and a bouncy seat is good too, my son liked the aquarium one.  Good luck!

  7. You're definitely going to have to move into a 2 bedroom apartment in the long run.

At least a 1 bedroom for now.

  8. You never will use a changing table, i would just get a playpen that you could fold up if needed and they have one with bassinets connected to them the baby can sllep in that. And you could get a plactic storage 3 drawer thing at walmart to keep clothes and stuff in. When there new borns they really need a swing thats more for your benift if you can rock them in your arms then you dont need a swing.  a palce to sleep and stiff topt there diapers and clothes is really all you need besides your love. Good luck and congrats =)

  9. dont really need a crip, get a playard with a bassinet is what i use, its much smaller. dont really NEED anything else, but if you ever want the bub to stop screaming, id also suggest a nice travel swing

  10. A bouncy chair, a fold-up travel swing & a pack-n-play
