At what age is a child generally considered a toddler?

my class i took on this said between the ages of 18 months and 24 months. its when they start to walk and toddle around.

A baby becomes a toddler when they start toddling.  Which is between 8-18 months.

a toddler is from 12 months to 23 months, after that they are considered preschoolers

Well, the term toddler refers to the age when a child begins to walk or "toddle" around.  So I would guess that the age range for toddler begins at around 12 months.

Once they can walk or at a year old I would say they are a toddler. Up until about 4 years old
