Question:

Baby pigeons?

i know this has probably been asked a lot in here, but i havent been in here long and have never seen this question, i would like to know why we never see baby pigeons or baby robins, just last year i did see a baby canadian goose for the first time, well, thanks, i have always wondered about this...........

  1. All birds have the tendency to hide their nest. That isn't to say that they have the same idea of hide as we do. The Red Tail Hawks, Coopers Hawks and Sharp shinned Hawks prey on baby birds in the nest. The crows and ravens both rob nest of other birds. If you can see their babies then predators can too. What people don't realize is a pair of wild pigeons will in some places breed almost year round. They will raise six to eight babies a year. The average is one baby per pair survives to adulthood.
