Question:

Baby robin glided out of nest hopping around on ground mom and dad are there what do i do?

do i pick up the bird or let it be. will it get back to the nest it is about 10 days old

  1. Leave it be.  Robins raise their young on the ground (after they leave the nest and before they can quite fly).  It's parents are watching out for it, and it'll be just fine!

    Good for you, though, for being concerned!      : )


  2. what ever you do dont touch it or the parents will disown it and it will die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Let it be. The parents are just teaching it to fly. That's what robins do. It will hop a little, then the parents will fly down, and back up, until the baby catches on, and flys back up. So, don't worry. It'll be fine.

  4. Just leave it alone. This is the next part of the birdies life, he is a fledgling.  The parents will continue to feed him and protect him.  They do not need your help...
