Question:

Baby robin in my garden?

It has very obviously fallen from the nest and looks far too little to fly. I cannot access the nest to put it back although it's parents are around and feeding it. However just a little concerned that it is out in the open with no warmth or protection - is there anything I could do to help, or should I just let nature take its course?

  2. Keep the cats away. They are the number one bird killer.

  3. take it to the vets

  4. You can't help these things. They happen.

Kannste machen nichts, musste gucken zu......

  5. The best option would be to put it back in it's nest, but if that is impossible, you could call you local animal control office and often they'll come pick it up and care for it.

  6. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly. You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it. If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest. Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival. Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own. Look for a rehab here:

  7. try calling the closest nature center and try not to touch it because the parents will stop feeding it if it has ur cent and keep an eye out so other animals don't get to it first

  8. hey it happens,

its a shame but it happens.

just leave it and try to forget about it ,

and when its not there in the morning just think that its parents came top pick it up...

  9. dont touch it the parents may disown if you do

  10. the parents are obviously taking care of it so leave it alone. you don't need to help the parents.
