  1. You should consider giving personalized gifts. you can search for them in your local shops or online. It would indeed be more convenient to shop for unique personalized baby gifts online. There are also many gift ideas, too. However, you have to be very specific in your instructions for personalization to make sure that the vendor gets it right. You also need to order ahead as well to make room for delivery time. Here's a good site to order baby gifts from: http://www.babylandgifts.com/personalize...

  2. Just some ideas I have picked up over the years...

Washcloth favors folded into shapes like little bears, bunnies, even babies.(I believe you can find out how on wikihow.)

a couple cute games are put little plastic babies in ice cubes and the ones who are born first win. (craft stores have the babies-they are usually about the size of a penny)

buy a variety of baby foods like 10. Put a dab on each plate. They must sample and decide the flavor.

Other party ideas can be found by typing in baby shower on a search engine.

    Have fun!

  3. A diaper cake makes a great centerpeice and is not hard to make.  A game with jars of baby food with the labels off and everyone has to guess the type of food.

  4. I have a really fun game I call it the pin game

what you do is get a bunch of cute baby pins or decorate regular safety pins with blue ribbon or what ever you want (you don't have to use a pin you can use anthing that can clip to clothing or be worn around your neck)

every guest gets a pin and a paper informing them of the rules, the game starts as soon as a guest has a pin

these are the rules, you can not say baby or boy or the baby's future name or whatever word you want to chose. (it's better to use a word that people say often at showers)  if you catch someone say the "bad" word you take one pin from them and add it to yours at the end of the shower whoever has the most pins wins a prize.

It's a fun game for any shower if you have outgoing people they will mingle with people they don't know just to try to get them to say the "bad" word and get their pin, it's a real ice breaker.

    Hope you have fun

  5. we all made play dough babies for mine. Other than that, my shower was cut short-baby coming. lol.

  6. here comes the boy

    or its baby time

or have everyone guess the date and weight

or have people come up with a name for the baby and then draw from a hat the first and middle name-that should be good for a laugh...

or have everyone wright a message to the baby so he can read it when he is older and know he was loved before birth.

    hope this helps

good luck and God bless and congratulations.

  7. games:

Name Tag Game ~ Have nametags for each guest with baby related items printed on them instead of their names. Diaper, baby food, formula... are a few examples. During the shower everyone must call each guest by their "new name." If a guest is caught caught calling someone by their real name, they must put some money (nickels, dimes, dollars, whatever they have) in a basket or piggy bank which will be given to the baby. This is pretty fun! Guests are walking around saying things like: Hey "baby wipes" how are your kids?

    **************************************...

    Fruity Baby Shower Punch

48 oz. bottle unsweetened white grape juice, chilled

6 oz. can frozen tangerine or orange juice, thawed

    1 c. club soda, chilled

    1/4 c. lemon juice

25 oz. bottle sparkling white grape juice

Stir together the first 4 ingredients in a punch bowl. Refrigerate until chilled. Mix in sparkling juice just before serving

  8. if somebody says the word BABY they have to do a dare!

  9. A couple party favor ideas are to take the single microwave popcorn packs...  attach ribbon and a tag thats says.. "so and so is Ready to pop!  Set Timer to:  add the due date".  Or take tea bags or individual coffee bags and with something that says..  A Baby is Brewing...  so and so's baby shower and the date.  I like to make diaper nut/mint cups by dipping diaper shaped material into melted wax (you can get at craft stores and melt in a double boiler) and shape so the top is open.  Make a banner by using diapers with a letter on each diaper connected with ribbon...  I have lots of ideas!

  10. Well,at least you know the s*x,that takes most of the guess work out.

*-Decide on a Budget & Venue-

    *-Pick a date,and Get invitations-

*Designate two people for food, one or two for decorations, and so on,this way one person doesn't have to do it all. Also ask the mom how much she wants to get involved this way she can opt out if she gets tired.

    Choose a Theme:

    *Trains

    *Bears

    *Ducks

    *Sports Team

    *Cartoon Character

Then once you have that, pick a color scheme.-

Usually they are two or three colors.-

*Foods: Go with whatever the mom-to-be likes.

If she wants a lasagna,or steak, then go for that.

Not everyone is happy with finger sandwiches, and cookies.

After all, it's all female,so you can pig out,and no one will know.

Now the games, you should definitly consult the mom on this one,ask her what she is comfortable with, and what would annoy her. And go from there.

Also Music is nice, go with mom favorites, and some favorites of the party planners.

You can also have prizes for games, and watch movies, that isn't common, and might be a nice relaxer instead of games.

You can have a pj baby shower, this way the mom doesn't have to get all dolled up,and stress over trying to look good.

  11. all can be in many different flavors, brands, dipped, etc.

be creative in the display for more fun! need more ideas? just ask.

    -chips (opt. dip or salsa)

    -crackers w/ dip

    -trail mix

    -nut mixture

    -veggies

    -fruit (opt. choc. fondue)

    -jerky

    -cookies

    -little debbie type items

    -breads(zucchini, banana, etc.)

    -mini cakes (or reg.)

    -nachos

    -popcorn

    -cheese

    -cupcakes

    -pretzels

    -fries

    -jello

    -popsicles

    -pudding

    -fruit snacks

    -candy

    -granola bars

    -deviled eggs

    -meatballs

    -rice cakes

    -muffins

    -brownies

    -mints

  12. Buy various chocolate candy bars, put in a diaper marked with a number (host has the key as to what number is what candy bar) put diaper with candy in microwave just enough to melt the bar, pass out one diaper to each guest and they have to sniff and figure out what kind of doddy they have.

  13. In teams of two have one person feed the other (the one drinking can't use their hands). Have them drink from a baby bottle filled with beer (or anything else). First one done wins.

Place baby items on a tray and have mom to be walk around and show guest the items on the tray. Here's the twist, have mom leave the room and instead of guessing items on the tray ask questions about mom. What kind of jewelry was she wearing, what color is her blouse etc.

Fill up some newborn diapers with a small amount of crushed chocolate. You can use Butterfinger, Snickers and plain chocolate for this. Then allow the guests to smell each diaper and guess what is inside of it.

    Have Fun!
