Baby shower help please??

ok i dont know what im having yet but ive picked out colors for a boy or girl pleaser let me know if you like these colors or not or suggest some please and thank you=]]

Girl-Yellow&Purple

Boy-Green&Yellow

Green and yellow are nice but for a girl purple and yellow dont really mix. Purple is to dark for a baby as they need light colors to focus. I also think it will be hard to come up with any type of theme with these colors.

I think you should go with a theme.  Have you decided what you will decorate the nursery in?  

Nowadays, colors (no matter what they are) are being seen on both girls and boys.  When my son was born, they never had polo's in pink or purple.  Now that he is 12, all those colors are every where in the boys section.

I can understand your desire to get the ball rolling with the shower.  But, it can be more fun when you pick a theme that you will decorate the babies room in and go from there.  And now a days, there are so many neutral themes that either s*x baby can use.

Why not choose a theme first and then pick colors from that?  Then you can use colors from your inspiration.

I'm doing a jungle theme for my boy:  so the baby shower colors are brown, green, and blue.

My friend centered her baby shower centered around her daughter's nursery bedding, which had cherry blossoms on it; pink, chocolate brown and cream colors.

i think pink and yellow for girl and blue and green for boy........dont put green and yellow together tho because they are nuetral colors. try pink and something and blue and something

I think that purple and yellow for the girl is perfect. I love pastels. :-) But for the boy i would leave yellow out of it. What about blue and green or green and a cream color?

I think if it was lavender and pale yellow that would be pretty but not.. YELLOW and PURPLE.. that's Lakers stuff...

Green and Yellow can be pretty if its an earthy green like sage.. no evergreen or lime..

You seem to like yellow... maybe go with a pale pale.. like ivory or champagne color yellow...

If you really like green... you can go with a sagey green and pair that with a cream and neutral beige.. Gender neutral.. then you can add the accessories to match the gender...
