  1. watching a movie is easy and simple.. and keeps the kids occupied for at least 1 hour. there are many kids shows out there now too that get the kids involved in activities such as dora the explorer and the wiggles. doing puzzles is very hands on for the 7 year old and a 2 year old doesn't need that much entertaining. playing hide and go seek is always fun and so is taking them to the park for a while. lets them get their energy out! hope this helped and good luck with them!

  2. first things first DO NOT GIVE THEM SUGAR THEY WILL GO CRAZY

and take them out for a walk if the parents say your aloud to but if not ur screwed

  3. If the older one likes crafts have her make things that will entertain the younger one. Make puppets out of paper bags. Go to Noggin.com and they have great ideas on things to do with all ages. Good luck.

  4. Bubble mixture is always good for entertainment.  Let the oldest blow bubbles, and the youngest pop them.

My girls (2 and 5) like to decorate cold hardboiled eggs with felt tipped pens and then eat them.

Last time I babysat, I had 5 kids from 2 up to 10yrs.  I made a batch of scones ( I think you call them biscuits in America) with all the kids helping.  While the eldest helped cut out shapes with cookie cutters, I sprinkled enough flour on the bench that all the younger ones could draw pictures in it with their fingers.  That took at least an hour, and then I gave them all a clean up job to get the place sorted.  The youngest ones wiped the floor with a wet wipe and the oldest dried the dishes.  We made it a competition to see if the kitchen could be cleaned before the scones were done.
