Baby sitting rate/price per hour?

My daughter is 12 and starting to babysit what would be a reasonable price per hour (for two kids) I think $8 are there any other suggestions?

Age also factors in. If she's babysitting twin infants, try $12/hour. If she's babysitting elementary school kids, then that sounds about right. Good luck!

That sounds about right, but maybe a bit high. I usually charge about 6$/hr for 2 children, and she doesn't have very much experience, but it depends on their ages as well. Younger children (babies, toddlers,) require much more attention.

when i was your daughters age and baby sitting the it was $9 and hr per child.

but everyone is diffrent and has there own wages on what to pay baby sitters.

has she taken a babysiting or CPR class?  If she hasn't i don't think she should be babysitting because what if the baby or kid chokes on something and she doesn't know what to do.  If she has she should charge 7 dollars an hour

That is outrageous!  $8 an hour to sit and watch tv or talk, or text on their  phone, I mean isn't that what babysitters do anymore?   Man, I've been in the dark...........

I think that is alittle much I charge number of children + a 1 per hour

so 2 kids =$3 per hour so yes I'm cheap.

I think that $2 per child per hour is also reasonable.

so that 2 kids =$4 per hour, but what ever your area is can decide the price.

It depends on where you live

My niece gets 14 dollars an hour

It goes around 9 where I live

Where my Cousin lives, it goes about 6 dollars

It depends on where you life

I would ask around, to see if it's to high or two low

Thats like, perfect. My babysitter does 8 dollars to. For one kid, 5 dollars.

Yep that's about  right.

Yep, thats what we pay our babysitter.  We have 2 children, ages 3 and 5.  $8 is perfect!
