OK, my 3 month old was sleeping through the night since he was 3 weeks old. Recently he started waking up 3 or 4 times during the night. He only naps a total of 2-3 hours during the day though so I figured he would sleep harder than he has been. I'm not sure whats going on with him. He usually sleeps with one certain blanket and I haven't put him to bed with it for the past few nights so could that be whats wrong with him? What could be the reasons for this?

  1. Could be early teething or a growth spurt.

Also, sleep begets more sleep.  If he's not getting enough rest during the day, he could be overtired at night and it will be harder to get him down.

The baby blanket could also be something he's missing.  He might be comforted by the smell or softness of it.

  2. not sure but maybe teething . I would also take him to the doctor to check for ear pain.

  3. I feel your pain. My 3 month old did the same thing a couple of nights ago. It was really odd, considering he sleeps like a log through the night. I tried to remember what we did differently those nights, and then it hit me. The fact that we did something different was the problem. If your baby is in a routine for bedtime, anything that is out of the ordinary for him in that routine, will alter his thought of what he is supposed to do. Stick to your routine, and if that includes his blanket, then let him have it. Goog Luck
