Baby swans? How do I check to see what s*x they are?

These little one were born on Mother's Day weekend.

Thier are a pair,...she thinks...that she wants me to have. But I only want them if they ARE a pair.

She says "she" can't tell until thier older.

Anyways it is really difficult to determine the gender. The only way is when they are adults the males are larger than the females. The k**b at the base of the male's upper bill is larger than the female's k**b. The neck of a male is thicker than the neck of a female.

Umm.. the last line has me confused.

Either way.. swans are not easily distinguished visually by s*x.

They would need to either be DNA tested or physically examined by palpating their cloacas to really determine for sure what s*x they are.
