I found my cat carrying a baby bunny in her mouth and I heard the bunny skweeling so I took it out of my cats mouth and put it in a shoe box with a soft shirt (with some grass and leaves). It's lying on it's side and isn't hoppin around so I dont wanna leave it outside for it to die (That's wat happened last time my cat got a baby bunny)

It is NOT bleeding,, but you can see the mark where my cat was biting it, so there is NO blood.

ALSO******** I do not have a car, I cannot drive anywhere, I am babysitting right now so I cannot take it to a vet, And I don't know where the nest is or where it lives since it was found on my porch.

So I can NOT take it to a VET!! and I can't find a home, and if i put it in a bush or something, it WILL die.

It's about the size of my fist, maybe a little bigger, but it has fur and everything, so it is not a new born but its a baby deffintly

  1. Firstly, you aren't supposed to interfere with these kind of things. There isn't a great chance it will survive and if it's a baby it might not have been weened properly yet. There doesn't have to be blood for it to be hurt, I find some rabbits my cat has had, dead, with no wounds. Cats often break the neck or at least damage it. You can not take it to the vet, a vet is for pets and they wouldn't take in a wild rabbit, you know those things breed like crazy. I know it's not a nice thing but you have to deal with the fact that cats are born killers and they will do this kind of thing. I think it's only right that you let animals live how they are supposed to, it's not fair on them if we don't. If your cat gets something you just have to leave it to kill it quickly because the chances are that when you get it, it's already hurt. Even a tiny scratch could be fatal to a baby rabbit because your cat has so many germs in it's claws, they can't clean like we can.

  2. Keep your cat in the house, & you won't have this issue.  Ugh this is why we have a feral issue in this world too.You think it's bad to have a hurt bunny. Think about when you find your cat hurt by it being attacked by a raccoon, or opossum it happens upon.  Cat's don't always win. RESPONSIBLE OWNERS KEEP THEIR CATS SAFE IN THE HOUSE.

  3. I just went through this same situation about a week ago, Im still caring for the bunny, Im keeping him in a round bucket with grass, a cloth for bedding, a dish full of water, and some cut up carrots and apples, he seems to be fine, but you have to make sure to clean the cage once a day, because they p**p alot.
