This is the second ultrasound that I've had done (I'm 18 weeks pregnant) and the baby would not uncross its legs. I'm so upset. Most people around 18 weeks already know what they are having. Has this ever happened to you or someone you know?? My friend said that when you have a girl, they are real modest and it usually takes awhile for the ultrasound to show up because of the girls crossing their legs. Have you ever heard of this before? Is this common. I go back Sept 23rd but, I really want to know what the s*x is. I'm so upset. I mean the baby is healthy & growing just fine, it's just I really had my hopes up that we would find out. When did you find out with your baby?? Did you have the same problems I'm having??

  1. Crossed legs has nothing to do with the s*x of the baby. Please dont make the same mistake as my co-worker... that same thing happened to her and her mother told her that it was because she was having a girl and after buying everything pink she had a boy.

Just wait and invest in a 3d ultrasound if you have to

  2. i found out the s*x when i was 21 weeks and 6 days. before that she didn't feel like we should know. so yes it's normal/common.. just give it some time.

  3. my son was like that too. but then we went again and the was spread eagle. some time the techs that are doing your ultra sound can do things to make the baby move so ask next time.

  4. I found out at 18 weeks and he flashed us the goods.

  5. With my second son, and they used a round vibrating thing that vibrated my belly and made him move around and surprise there was his little thingy...lol

  6. oh yeah had the same problem. not only with crossed legs but also with turning to hide face and just being playful. haven't heard of it being gender specific though. sometimes they just don't want to cooperate. you will know soon enough no reason to be upset as long as your baby is growing properly. i think we found out at about 21 weeks or so and it was a boy

  7. My cousin's baby did that the first two or three ultrasounds when they tried to find out if it was a boy or a girl..  Eventually she uncrossed her legs and they saw the s*x.. Just have to be patient, I guess.
