Babydoll top with shorts?

Question

ok so i want to wear for the 1st day of school, a pair of white shorts that are 5 inches long, and a bright and flowerdy babydoll top thats really long,and its gonna cover up most of the shorts, leaving like an inch or two that you can still see. that with a pair of brown flip flops, cuz there is brown in the shirt.

would that look stupid to wear the long shirt with shorts? or cool?

It can look kinda stupid i don't know i think you would know if it looked ridiculous.  It sounds cute though :]  I would just make sure the shirt didn't go over your whole butt, that always looks weird.

as long as you can see the shorts, i think it looks trashy when the top is covering the shorts and it looks like you're not wearing bottoms..

you might as well wear a mini dress.

stupid, pick a shorter top, if u lengthen the shorts it make make ur legs look shorter because ur top is long.

I love that outfit! I have a similar one, where the shorts are only showing a tiny bit. But instead of flip flops, why not try flats? Flip flops, in my opinion just says "lazy" unless they're designer.

no as long as you can see the shorts it will look nice. if anybody says anything about it just say that you didn't realize how long the top was when you put it on. you'll look fine.

That would remind me of the 2007 runway show of marc by marc jocobs. This is a definite trend setter. I think this would be a GREAT outfit, and to those who think not have no style. =]
