I need someone Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30. I can pay $65 a week. I'm in desperate need!

  1. go to www.mybabysitter.com and post your ad there. But I warn you, you are not likely to find anybody who is willing to work for that amount. These days, that would be considered full time childcare, and you would need to pay someone at LEAST 8-10 dollars an hour.

  2. First of all, the going rate for full-time daycare is about $150-$175 a week.  NO ONE is going to respond to an ad that states such low pay.

Put your child in school, and you might get a before/afterschool daycare provider that will watch your child for less than $65 a week.  If you're going to be working full time, how can you homeschool her anyway?

  3. Longview, WA? My fiancee is from there (has nothing good to say about it either, and after a few visits I don't blame her).

But $65 for 50 hours of work? And if you plan to continue homeschooling, you'll need to find someone who has the skills to do that. Good luck, but you get what you pay for.

Of course, you could send your child to a school funded by taxes that will already be taken out of your paycheck. That would take care of most of your problems.

Advertising on here is just asking to end up on Dateline NBC.

  4. This method is a very risky and potentially dangerous way of recruiting a babysitter for your child.

I urge you to find one through a recommendation from a friend or neighbor.

  5. If homeschooling is important to you then I would look in your area for another parent who is homeschooling their child and see if they would be willing to do the same for yours.  I would definately not leave my child though with anyone that can't give you references.  I think your best bet probably would be to put her in the public school system since you really don't have enough funds to pay for the care you are looking for.  You can pay for an after school program and she would be well taken care for during the day while you work which will be well worth it.  I

  6. You are looking for a babysitter here?  are you out of your mind?  $65 a week?  If you have to work full time..get your kid into school.  Nobody is going to homeschool and babysit your child for $65 a week.
