Babysitting, and dont know what to do? answer right away please?

me and my friend are babysitting a 4 year old and a 8 year old, and they are bored and we don't know what to do,,,, HELP

if it isnt cold outside or nighttime let them go play..other than that play a guessing game or watch something educational on tv

Take a flashlight/torch into a dark room and make shadow puppets.  Works with mine every time.

Those are two very different ages, so it can be difficult to entertain them both.

Are there Disney movies around that you can watch?

Do you have paints and paper, or crayons/markers/pencils, so you can all draw pictures for each other?

Is it nice outside? You can go for a walk. (But hold the 4 year old's hand and keep both of them in site!)

You can make sock puppets if you have socks, uncooked rice, markers, buttons, glue and other decorative items.

You can play games like simon says or have the 8 year old help you to set up a treasure hunt around the house or yard to go and look for "treasure" with the 4 year old.

Try and make up a special game.  Take off the couch cushion and make a fort.  Be pirates.  Think of pirates names for everyone and decide what your mission is (good or bad) Use the dining table to make your fort bigger.

See if they have anything like cake mix or brownie mix.  Cooking is always fun!

Or, if they are girls, play "hair salon." Get out some brushes and makeup and let them do yours and your friends hair.
