Tomorrow evening I'm going to be babysitting 3 kids aged 2,5, & 7.

The youngest is a girl, the 5 year old is a boy, & the oldest is a girl.

What kinds of things can we do that all the kids will have fun doing.

Is it ok if the kids to seperate things(particularly the oldest) or is it better to be all together? Im babysitting from 5pm-11pm.

This is my 1st time babysitting 3 kids.

  1. Well, I have 3 children and so I can just tell you what works for us. The oldest girl will probably enjoy doing things like crafts, coloring, etc... The 5 year old will most likely be content playing with toys. And finally, the 2 year old will be your biggest challenge. You will really  need to watch her so she stays safe. I would suggest keeping them all where you can see them. Have the 5 year old bring some toys into the same room you are at. The 7 year old may want to play a game with you too. Just be aware that the littlest one will want to climb all over it and "play" too. Once she is in bed, it will be easier because then you can settle down with the 2 older ones and do something with them together like maybe games, toys, or watch a DVD.

  2. im sure they each have a favorite game at their house they like to  play so ask them that. im sure the oldest will help.

also play tag or hid and seek.

have them do a craft by coloring some paper then you cut it into and staple or tape it into rings then put it in their rooms or around the house.

towards the end of the night(around bedtime) put in their favorite movie.

    good luck!

  3. i would play a make-believe game because when i babysit even a 9 yr old she lieks to pretend things. if they have like a kitchen set toy thing or maybe like a mini house, play with that. etc. Good luck! - hope i helped!!!!

  4. give them age appropriate things to do. the youngest would probably be happy to color and play peek a boo and what not. the older two could probably play together. worst case pop in a movie and make some popcorn. have the little one help you do your evening routine

  5. 5 pm to 11 pm,   ok, aftter you serve dinner, let the oldest help you with dishes, while the younger two watch a movie, then , break out the editable play doh...  ALL the kids will love this.. then, get everyone in jammies, pop some pop corn, play a board game, then get them ready for bed!  Here is the recipie for the edible play doh:

(Just make sure no one has a peanut allergy!)

    1 container white frosting

    1 c. smooth peanut butter

    1/2 c. confectioners suger

    food coloring

beat frosting and peanut butter until smooth.  gradually knead in conf. sugar until icing is very stiff. then knead in food coloring.  (if sticky, knead in more sugar)  it can be stored in a ziplock in the fridge for up to 4 weeks!  Have fun!

  6. yes absolutely they can do individual things as long as you can see them all.  You can also play at a park, watch a movie(make it fun by having popcorn or other treats and blankets and things) or you can take a walk, play tag, color/draw.  lots of things that each of the children can do together, but at different levels( the 2 year old won't color as well as the 7 year old, but will have fun none the less)  Most kids are great at telling you what they want to do anyway!:)

  7. play-doh,dress-up(yes the boy can too),crafts with noodles,

let them watch a movie with you,if you can make popcorn

    paint,make a fun snack with fruit,crackers,

  8. If they are siblings, which I assume they are, they will be used to playing together to some extent.  Try playing an outside game during the early part of the evening.  Kicking a ball around or playing with the dog are things my 2 kids love to do together (girl 7 and boy 3).  They may enjoy coloring or drawing.  Maybe watching videos or reading books together would be fun closer to bedtime to settle them down.  If they want to play separately that's okay, too.  Just be sure everyone feels included (if they want to be).  Try not to plan too much, just enjoy your time with them.  Kids are fun at that age, and they usually enjoy having babysitters.
