Babysitting 3 kids first time?-10 pts?

Question

Ok so on Saturday I am babysitting three kids aged, 3, 5, & 7.

This is my 1st time babysitting so I want some ideas on things to do.

I will be with the kids from 5pm-11pm.

the 3 year old has pullups, would it be ok to have the oldest girl help me with the 3 yr old a bit?

I know about all the responsibilies and such but the kids don't have a really set bedtime(since its summer) so im not sure what types of things to do 2 keep them occupied so long.

Any ideas?

Kids like games, movies, stories. Do things their parents don't usually do with them. Like play with them if they want you to, depending if it's boys or girls, house or trucks or something. I'm guessing they will be in bed by 8-9:30. At least the 3 year old anyway. If you have to cook supper, they would probably love to help (or at least think they're helping). Have them set the table and etc.

Yes defenitly had the older one help with the little one . But play games with them like hide ang go seek in the house .  Or even a good movie .....I wouldnt worry to much .. chances are the 7 year old already knows what he wants to do like play in his room or something ... But the 3 year old you could sit and practice school well the other 2 go about  what they normally do since it will be evening time that you will be sitting  . So just be creative its a piece of cake . it will come to you when your their and see what kind of kids they are and what strikes their intrest . Good Luck!

Rent a movie or watch one on cable. (5:30-7:45)

My older kids are 3,4 and 8 and they generally like the same movies.

Pop some popcorn.

After the movie is over, have them brush their teeth and get ready for bed.  (8:00-8:30pm)

Maybe read a short book as they lie down.

(8:30-9:00pm)

Bedtime is at nine.

Make sure you keep a list of important phone numbers handy.

Keep an eye on kids that age!

When they know Mommy and Daddy are gone, they tend to want to play instead of sleep.

I'm sure the 7 year old would be happy to help with the little ones. Play with them, games, color, outside for a bit if its nice out. You may have to feed them dinner. Put a movie on about 1 1/2 hours before bed ( first getting a snack, pj's on and teeth brushed) then put the 3 year old to bed and then get the older ones to bed. Maybe read a story before bed. Good luck, remember to find out house rules and when the parents would like the kids in bed by, and emergency numbers!
