Babysitting 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl?

Question

Hey,I babysit A 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl and need some fun ideas.We play outside for about a hour than they get tired they are only are allowed to watch 1 hour of TV and I can not make a big mess since it a new nice house.They are really nice and so is the Mom,I just don't want them to be bored.We do play board games but you can only play them so many times:)

Take them to ride scooters, get tons of puzzles, read books, hide and seek, tag in the yard, go to an ice cream shop, to the toy store and give them a budget, free zoo's, aquariums, beaches, golf sessions....join the local Y

What if they watch something educational like History channel or Discovery? Also I like to read mine Children's Bible Stories...You'd be surprised how much that interests them...Also cooking or creating a project...We made some beautiful picture frames just by going to the arts and crafts department at Walmart...Very cheap and Daddy loved it! Especially because it wasn't a holiday and just because...

Find  crafts they might like, For the boy building a birdhouse, or  model cars they get to paint if hes in to that. Hmm go for a hike in the area and find all the different animals and flowers you can in 30 mins time. Go volunteer at a local animal shelter where you play with the kitties/doggies and give them much needed attention til they get adopted. Ask the mom first if a cooking project is ok, if they help clean up when finished. Nothing fancy keep it simple, cookies, brownies, a sweet bread or cupcakes. Or even a simple dinner, pasta, or similar. My kids are 4 and 3 they loooooove to help in the kitchen.But try these links and go thru them with the kids, see what they might want to try and plan for the next time you come to visit so all is prepared. Just have fun and enjoy your summer.
