  1. play dress up.  does their mom have any old clothes she doesnt wear anymore that they could trapieze around the house in?

are you any good at baking?  even if you arent, they have those slice and bake cookies now that bake no matter what shape little people turn them into, so clear this project with mom and then let them be chefs for a day.  make sure your the one cracking any eggs though.  oh! be absoutly sure you know about any alergies they may have

summer themed craft projects.  they can make a weather wheel and change it to show what the weather is like outside.   they could make dixie cups into flower pots for little paper flowers.  make flags for the fourth of july, they dont have to be anything fancy.  noodle necklaces arent messy and can be painted pretty much any color you want.  make catterpillars out of those multicolord cotton fluff things, those are so cheap at craft stores.  in fact, just go paruse the nearest craft store, they have books of ideas next to everything usually.  like, if your standing in an asile full of felt, theres usually books you can buy with all sorts of ideas of what to do with felt.

go on a nature walk with them then color pictures of the birds and animals you see when you get home.

most librarys rent videos now and kids LOVE picking out their own moives, just make sure they are age appropriate.  if you want them to try reading a little, tell them that if they get a video they have to get a book too.

some places have free tour days.  look up any age appropriate ideas online, and clear it with the girls parents first.

Hope this helps & Good luck!

  3. Well.. since they are girls they might be girly girls that that age. You can  play balerina with them. You can have some printables:

Here is a really nice website:

For rainy days you can read them a couple of books.

You should ask them a  lot of questions. Girls love to talk. LOL

Just ask them what they did over the weekend and they can go on and on and on. Believe me.

  4. i work with 4's, 5's and 6 year olds. There is always the library. I know sounds lame. You could always get someone to drop you off. Print some coloring sheets out on you computer. They like to dress up. Thats always fun.
