Question:

Babysitting Job?

I took a babysitting course a month ago and now I dont know how to make contacts! I cant ask my dad's co-workers..he said that they already have nannies and have a whole schedule planned out. My mom is the only one married in her office, so that 's out. I dont want to hand out flyers b/c they are not always safe. I have checked lots of websites and none of them are useful to me. I feel awkward just going up to my neighbour and asking them if they are looking for babysitters. I dont even know them. I'm new in the area. Also, is 12 too young to babysit? I need a lot of help!

Thanks so much for at least reading this!

  1. just try to spread the word.

i wouldnt hire a 12 year old, but that is just because my baby is 6 months. maybe if she was like 5

  2. If you aren't comfortable with flyers, then go to your school or college and ask the 'Careers' Department for opening babysitting jobs. If none available then make a Resume in 'Monster.com' It's very easy, it takes you through the steps of making a resume and you will get alot of job offers.

    Good Luck!

PS: If there is a careers department in your school, give them a copy of your resume in case someone contacts them for a babysitter. :)

  3. I'd put up flyers and have your parents go with you to meet the person if someone calls. And no offense, but I babysit 12 year olds, so it really depends on your maturity level.
