Babysitting Problem?

I babysit a 5,going to be 6 in September year old. Well,she recently saw the Spiderwik Chronicles movie,and now is obsessed with it! I have to play the game she makes up to it almost every time i go over there! I've tried telling her it's getting boring,but she just says,not to me. Any ideas?

you can try going on like on demand or something and renting the video. it might be free on there. can she read? you could bring her one of the books as a gift. or if you have a doggie you could try bringing it over and she could play the game with the dog. hah ...:)

It's getting boring for YOU because you've lost your imagination.  I suggest that you play along with her.  It isn't going to hurt you.  If you really can't stand it then quit babysitting because you're going to have to put up with a lot of "boring" stuff babysitting.

first of all decide who is in charge

If its the 6 yr old you are stuck doing what she says, if its you tell her so

Tell her she can continue to play the game and you will be doing your duty of babysitting not playing that game. Let her know what games you would not mind playing with her.
