Babysitting Question???

I have a 7 month old right now, and WE neighbor works night time 5pm till 230 am.. They asked me if I would watch thir 6 1/2 month old monday-friday from those times.. I work part time so the money would be great but how much money do i ask for? they asked me to tell them a price and i dont know what to say.

  1. When my friend watched my son, we paid her about 4 dollars an hour.


  2. 175$ a week is fair, considering the hours you will be watching this child. This price amounts to 35$ a day your basically charging 3.80$ an hour which is a good deal.

I think it would depend on what you are providing/ what the parents will be providing.  If you are not providing anything (food, diapers, wipes, etc), than it will e much cheaper than if you have to provide those things.  For a 6 month old daycare around my area is $175 a week.  I would think that would be a good rate to base your price on. That would be about $35 a day.  Good luck with your decision.
