hey.. im babysitting tomorrow so i need sum answers quick!! its my next door neighbors. i am babysitting a 3 year old girl, and her older sister who is 9 will be there too. i dont know the girls a lot, so they will probably be shy at first. i am not really worried if any thing goes wrong, cuz my mom will be next door. [i am not going to rely on my mom too much...] i am just worried cuz i dont have a lot of experience babysitting kids. i have babysat only like 5 times before, and different families. so i am just asking for some ideas. they have a trampoline outside, and they are outdoor people, but they weather doesnt look that great for tomorrow. so we will probably be indoors most of the time. i am babysitting for 4 hours... anyway im just blabbering on... i just need some ideas for what to do with them. lots of ideas! thanks ahead of time!

  1. you can always rent some Barnie movies, kids that age love them . Or Dora Explorer games. I myself would not feel comfortable about the tramboline thing as what if they fall and break a arm or leg. You can  always play games like hide and seek or print some pages from websites cartoon ones for them to color. Don't worry just do what comes natural.

  2. COLORING!!!

movies, video games, computer games, board games, TV, .. and if you are going outside i don't suggest the trampoline so that you won't give them a chance to get hurt under your watch.. play tag or something they love that.

  3. i babysit a little girl who's 2 and a half years old, and she LOVES piggy back rides, she LOVES attempting to play hide and seek. just act like a little kid around her, hey sometimes it's fun. :] haha, let her eat like an actual meal first, then give her a snack. watch cartoons with her, play with her toys with her, try jumping on the trampoline with her. like hold her hands while jumping and dont jump that much, obviously cause she's 3. ask her what she wants to do too.

  4. I think you should ask the girls what they find fun, then do it with them. :)

  5. 3 year olds can play Candyland and Jenga and other simple board games, most can color (badly, but they like it). Read lots of books, and girls will always want you to admire their room and see all their stuff, so that will take some time.  They like any crafty stuff like playdough and beads (as long as they aren't the kind of kid that still puts stuff in their mouth), watercolor paint.  They like to play catch (or rolling a ball back and forth on the ground inside), can be taught to do a forward roll, walk like a wheelbarrow while you hold their legs, or twofooted jump over small things.  The really like to dismantle the couch and use a blanket to build a fort (where you can read more books).  Just make sure you clean up as you go along to keep the parents happy.  And keep the big sis on your side.

  6. Maybe try some simple craft projects you can do with them. If you search online you should be able to find some stuff that isn't too difficult or too messy. Coloring is always good, too. Dress up can be fun. Read stories. Have snacks. Play music and dance. 4 hours is a long time for a 3 year old so you'll probably end up doing a lot of things! Good luck!
