I am babysitting a boy and girl this summer. The boy is going into first grade and the girl is going into second. I will be with them from 8-5 every week day for the next 2 months. I need ideas for activities and things to do with them. I don't want to make their summer boring. Please any suggestions are very welcomed. Thanks in advance!

  1. One of my kids is going into first grade and what keeps him happy and busy is drawing (he's too old for coloring books, he just wants blank paper and markers/crayons) sidewalk chalk, the sprinklers, video games and pokemon cards.  He's really into making books so if you take like 5 peices of blank paper and fold them in half and staple them and tell the kids to make a book, they might really like that.

At that age, there's not much entertaining to do, really.  Just make sure they know their options and they'll usually play on their own without being guided.

  2. well, i am also babysitting and you could try,

    chalk drawing in the driveway

    reading

    going on a walk

    watching some movies

    playing fun games

    drawing pictures

asking them what they want to do

things like that to start off with!

  3. Read books to them and let them watch tv and take them out side and try to do comendy i did made a couple kids laugh when i did dane cook stuff burger king just cutt out the bad words.also try online games like clubpenguin

  4. Read books to them

Have them read books to you.

Computer games to get them ready for next year.

Cook some cookies and other things.

    Go on walks

    Scavenger Hunt

    Chalk

    Paint

    Swimming

If they have a pet teach the pet tricks

Have them each pick somehting and have them learn more about it.

    Watch Movies.

    I hope this helped.
