  1. hmmmm... try burping her, changing her, feeding her, giving her a warm bath, giving her some warm milk, rocking her, giving her a one of those baby nipple things babys suck on, or giving her a teething ring....

  2. The first time I ever babysat my nephew, he cried for the whole 8 hours. He was ten months old, and aside from a nap, he was crying. I tired holding him, feeding him, changing his diaper, and playing games. I was completely at wits end by the end of the day and said I'd never watch the demon spawn again.

The next day wasn't so bad...  Over time, he warmed up to me, and he is ten years old now and we have a great relationship. Sometimes, a baby just want's its primary caregiver, and there is little else we can do but give a hug and a kiss and let them know it will be OK.

I know you're at your wits end, but just put him down on the floor or in his playpen, walk away for a few minutes, in the next room or something (make sure there is nothing the child can do to hurt herself), and then come back in. Give a big sigh, and giver her a hug. This too will pass.

** The only caveat to my advice is to consider something else going on, such as gas, constipation, or other pain or discomfort. In the latter case, observe her. Does she rub her belly, or tug on her ear? Does she have a fever? Will she eat and drink OK? If so, then just don't worry too much about it, but otherwise, call another family member or her pediatrician for advice.

    Good luck!

  3. Look in the freezer and see if mom has a teething ring.  She is probably teething. Give it to her and let her suck on it. She may also be concerned that youre there and mom is not.  Most importantly call the mom or dad OR call your own mom or dad and ask.

  4. is she hungry, thirsty, want a cuddle, soother, is she getting sick, dirty diaper.

sit with her on the couch and put some cartoons on till she relaxes a little, or take her for a walk. maybe give her a small bottle of milk. sometime my daughter just wants a little of a bottle in the mornings so she can relax untill she wakes up fully.

  5. pat her on the back, give her food, give her something to drink, rock her back and forth, sing a lulaby, or play one. make funny faces.

  6. Babies at one year old are sometimes like that if she is constantly crying maybe her stomach is hurting, have or did you feed her afterwards make sure you really burp them. Sometimes after changing then sing to them babies like singing and rocking and talking to them. I am quite sure this helps and if you have been doing this for a while she needs to get adjusted to you try some of these suggestions and make yourself a same day rotuine for the aby and I am sure this will help.

  7. Feed her breakfast, let her lay down and take a nap, change her diaper, make sure she's not sick, call the parents if all else fails!

  8. ok calm down! babies can sense stress. turn on a lamp and hold her in your arms. rock her back and fourth slowly in frot of the lamp. babies like light. humm too and she may fall back asleep. make sure when she is at your house she has all the essentials such as her blanket or pacificer. try these and she might like them because they are something familiar. if she is hungry well either give her some warm milk, that will make her tired or give her some adult food that she can eat like cheerios and stuff like that. just dont jump around from thing to thing, that wont make her feel good. as last resort, try putting on the tv. shows created for toddlers and babies are good for times such as these! baby einstien and barney are good choices. also lastly she may still be teething. give her something to chew on like a toy or a chew ring that you can freeze. try some baby orejel! good luck! hope this helped!
