Babysitting activites?

I'm babysitting tonight for an eight year old girl. does anyone have any suggestions about some fun things we can do?

make-overs play hairdressers and watch dvds!! x*x

bring crafts and coloring...STICKERS!  Kids love stickers.  try the game Twister (you know with the colored dots that you have to put your limbs on)

Dollies and hair, if she likes that stuff. Normally I ask what they want to do and try to go along if it is not against the rules.

Depends on what is available to you and what she likes.

Board games...Bring cards, play go fish, crazy eight, double solitaire....MAybe she likes video games...Play those. She might have a movie she wants to watch. Crafts are always good with girls....COnstruction paper, glitter, glue....Let her imagination go with supervision of course!

Board games are fun, but you should always ask HER for ideas. I know when I was that age, I HATED the overeager babysitters

that wanted to be perfect. Just let her do whatever she wants. h**l, if she wants to sit on her butt and watch the TV all night, thats her choice!!!

make a little artcraft project for her mom, aunt, grandma, etc, etc for mother's day.. then watch some disney movies..

you can have a 'dance-party' with music (nothing inappropriate) and special snacks.  or a movie-marathon.  you can do manicures/pedicures, if that's okay with mom.  board games are great, as are crafts, if they happen to have any stuff on hand.  baking together is also lots of fun, but also a good idea to get permission for.  my daughter's 9, and she loves all that stuff.

what about painting eachothers nails?  you could also help her make a book all of her friends could write her little notes in.  These are fun since school is almost out and they could put phone numbers in it.  8 year olds are really getting into music, maybe you could make cd's

Babysitting for an 8 year old can be easy. She will most likely want to do stuff herself. Do not ask her a bunch a stuff. If she wants to play she will ask you.
