Babysitting activites

Question

i'm 19, can anyone tell me what i could do with a 9 year old girl & her 5 year old brother. i babysit them alot & we're runing out of activites. any idea are appreciated. thank you !

ps, they really like playdoh.

Bike rides. Get a map, plan and route, make a picnic and head off for the day.

Take them for walks to your local  park or a ride around the neighborhood/park or do activites with playdough or since it is summer put on the hose and have races and stuff or you can teach them stuff like math or adding subtracting or you thats what i do with my little sweetiepie cousin

Well you might try making forts in the living room and telling PG ghost stories. If they like playdoh there is a recipe on line that is really simple and you can make your own and dye it with food coloring so everyone can have their own color. Also scavenger hunts are always fun for those age groups.

you can try lots of things!

if you like artsy things:

*coloring

*making a picture

*paints (fingure painting is fun outside!)

*you could also look up activities online as far as creating things with paper, glue, glitter, etc.

being active:

*playing outside

*going for a walk

*riding bikes

*swimming (if possible)

maybe:

*wathcing movies

*playing a game (kids board games are fun!)

*baking something

*try to make up your own games!

I've learned that while your spending your time w/ kids it really helps to be creative and think outside the box. Try to get down to their level and think of what you liked to do as a kid. The sky is the limit when it comes to having fun, right?! Creativity and imaginaton are key.  If your still struggling. I'd try looking at some kid freindly websites that will help you plan some activities for the kids!

I have took care of kids that age and we have done A LOT of things

1. Take to the park

2. Watch T.V / Video Games

3. Board Games

4. Shopping

5. Tag/Out Door Games

6. Hide And Go Seek

7. Drawing / Writing (They still enjoy it!)

8. Tell them to make up a game, let them brain storm ideas

9. Basketball net?

10. Under the tree (Go under the kids leg, and then that kid goes through the other persons, on and on)

11. Telephone? (Say something in 1 persons ear, then that person says something to another persons ear, and then the 3rd person yells it out and the first person has to say if that's what they said)

13. Red Light Green Light Yellow Light (they either gotta run stop or walk and who ever gets to the person first has to poke him or her and has to try to run back to the starting line and the person it has to touch them, then they are it? O.o. haha)

14. GOOGLE! hehe :D

15. Take them swimming
