Babysitting advice!!!?

I have a brownie troop comprised of First Graders, so I have some suggestions for you.

Play the sing with me game:  Each person takes turns singing a part of a song (can be from something like a Disney movie or common Fairy Tale).  Stop singing the song after a few seconds and the first person who can continue the song for you gets a point.

Take a sheet of paper and cut it into 3 equal parts.  Have one person draw the head of their favorite animal on one sheet, making sure it goes all the way to the bottom of the page.  Have someone else draw the body of their favorite animal making sure they go all the way to the top and bottom of their page.  The last person draws the legs and feet of their favorite animal making sure they draw all the way to the top of their paper.  This way, you can put head, body, and legs/feet together like a puzzle and see what kind of freaky animal you 3 came up with.  We like do with this with animals, famous people, crazy looking monsters, etc.  You'll end up with something like a puppies head, a horses' body, and a crocodile's feet.

If you cook them a meal, use some food coloring and have blue mashed potatoes etc.  Kids love that.

Play hide the bunny (or any small stuffed animal).  One of the kids hides the stuffed animal and gives you 3 clues as to where the bunny is without giving out exact directions.  Such as (I hid the bunny in the room where Mommy rests her head, it's where she keeps her clothes on hangers, inside the thing that carries her wallet =Mom's bedroom closet in her purse)

Got more time to fill, make ice cream sodas!!!  My girls always like these games.

I am a mom of a first grader and preschooler.

My kids love making a tent out of a large blanket draped over two chairs, bring popcorn under and flashlights.

I don't like them watching a lot of TV, but if it calms them down, it's great.

Read books, they love play dough, puzzles, board games, blocks, coloring, painting, cutting and gluing.  Girls love playing Barbies with someone older, and dress up too.

Boys love cars and dinosaurs.
