Babysitting jobs?

Question

i just started babysitting.

there are a few people with little kids that i have given a flyer to.

what should i do to get the job?

i get too nervous to talk to them at first,

well untill i get to know them.

what should i say?

i am 13 by the way.

but i have the experience.

hospital training and 3 younger sisters.

guys r less likely to get hired for this position, unless u demonstrated to them that u r above qualification.

show them you 'want' the job, not the money

money should b 2nd-ary

As a mother who uses teenage babysitters on occasion, I can tell you what is important for ME when I leave someone with my son. I want them to be CPR trained and to at least have taken the Babysitters Course. Then I want them to spend their time with my son, not on my phone, watching TV, or text messaging.

Do a second flyer up, outline a "typical" evening you would plan with kids. Include an activity (making rock bunnies, or paper snowflakes) a story or kid friendly movie, popcorn....

Stress that you are a "cut above" the average teenager, then prove yourself. If you are a good sitter, you will be flooded with jobs!
